Gone Too Soon...

I am sure this is now not news to anyone with a TV or internet access, but one of my most favorite actors, Heath Ledger, died yesterday. He was 28 years old & he had a 2-year-old daughter, Matilda.

I remember noticing Heath in his first American film, 10 Things I Hate About You. I thought it was a pretty good movie & he did a great job in it as Patrick, the boyfriend-for-hire. I was also very much looking forward to seeing him portray the Joker in the new Batman movie, "The Dark Knight". I've seen pix of his character & they are truly disturbing, in a great way, artistically speaking. What a talented actor who can play two such disparate roles!

Of course, he cemented himself as a great actor with his role as Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain. I may be prejudiced, but his part in that movie literally brought me to tears. It is a film that will stay with me always!

Considering the 2 roles I mentioned above with his Ennis Del Mar character, you can't help but see how fearless he was as an actor. I'm sure he was the same in his real (former) life.

It's always sad when someone so young & with so much potential leaves us all-too-soon. Heath, of course, is no exception.

I keep his family in my thoughts & I will miss him very much.

I was so upset when I found out. He is just a year older then me he still had so much life in him. And it makes me wont to cry when I think about that baby girl now not having him.

Then I read this...

The "Reverend" Fred Phelps's Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to protest at the funeral of Heath Ledger.

The "God Hates Fags" hatemongers will picket the decease Aussie actor's funeral because he is a pervert who promoted homosexuality by appearing as a gay man in Brokeback Mountain.

skyedance: you know, it just doesn't surprise me to hear about the "good" reverend & his never-ending funeral attacks. This man's whole shtick is taking advantage of someone else's pain to promote his perversion. Unfortunately, he's been quite persistent & he's been successful at spreading "God's" word. It's really bad when even the fringe wing-nuts won't have anything to do with you! All I can say is that he is one of those people who should actually be heard more & more. We should support his right to hang himself & more importantly his "godly" causes! The more he speaks, the more that people realize the real inhuman sleaze he & his church-family are.

I'm sure God's gonna take good care of Rev. Fred come his judgment day. He may not know it yet, but there will be a price for making so many people's lives Hell on Earth.

It was a tragic loss. Anytime young talent is wasted it is tragic. All the deaths we don't read about that happen well before their time are just as painful. He was an enormous force on screen and Hollywood is a little darker tonight having lost him.

I miss you!!! And you are now officially blogrolled on my page!

What a shame, right? And you know, I was telling my girlfriend that the masseuse that called 911 was suspicious, only because she called one of the Olsen twins first - 3 times before calling 911. What the hell is that about? CALL 911 if someone isn't breathing for the love of GAWD! Something is definitely up with that... And then they said on the news that they were looking into that situation.

Hope you're doing well! Just wanted to stop in to see what you were up to!

Enjoy your weekend! :)
